I just want her to stay little. It's amazing how you remember every detail of the day your children were born, the way you felt, how much pain you were or weren't in, the really nice or not very nice nurse you had. And for me this is no exception. I remember the whole day beginning to end.
Olivia's Birth Story:
We were told to be at the hospital at 5AM to be induced. This was very hard for us, neither one of us had slept very good the night before. There was too much anxiety about the next day. So we were both very tired. We got checked in and I was put in my gown and everything was on schedule, I figured wow I'll have this baby by 9 AM. Until they had a little mix up with the anesthesiologist, someone had scheduled a surgery on the same day for that same anesthesiologist that was supposed to be give me my epidural. It was 9:00 in the morning, my doctor came in and figured I wasn't progressed at all and that it would be fine to go ahead a break my water to get things rolling. It had been about an hour, and the nurse checked me, I was at a 5 or 6 so I was still fine. I figured that the anesthesiologist would be coming in anytime to give me the epidural, I began to feel more and more uncomfortable and began to throw up, I always get so sick from all the medicine they put in my IV. It was awful, so there I was in pain and having to change into a clean gown.
I told them they needed to get my epidural NOW! I was really starting to hurt and the contractions were getting closer together. Finally they found someone who could do it. I remember thinking he is was too young to be doing this, he lacked experience, and ended up Hitting a nerve in my back, which was the most painful thing I've ever felt in my life, the pain shot straight up my back and went into my head than back down to my toes, even after all that, the epidural only worked for half of the time, it took the edge off for awhile but It wore off completely just as I was starting to push. Good thing it was only 2 or 3 pushes and she was born!!! So at 12:22 PM April 22, 2008, Olivia Else Thibeault was brought into the world!
And 3 Years Later...........
There isn't anyone like our Livy Girl ! Most of the time she is so sweet and so adorably funny but lately She is starting to be quite a Sassy little thing. I think she has skipped over the terrible 2's and is heading right for Terrible 3's ! She always has to tease her sissy, she bites on ''Everything" and has just started to throw the biggest fits and tell us " NO!" for everything. I hope it's just a phase and passes real soon.
On Friday the 22, we took Olivia out for pizza, than had a Family Birthday party for her, of course she was very spoiled, and got all the attention !! She felt so special :)
